Rev John Hetherington

Rev John Hetherington has been ordained in the Church of England for the past 33 years, and during the whole of that time he has been involved with school governance spending several years as Chair of a School Governing Body. His various roles as Vicar and Rector of a number of parishes, as well as time served as an RAF Chaplain, has meant close pastoral involvement with a number of schools, in both urban and rural settings, and also those which provided education for the children of service families (with their transient nature). John has been involved in all aspects of school life over those years, from interviewing candidates for teaching appointments (up to and including Headteacher level), leading and facilitating collective worship, drafting policies in various areas such as curriculum (covering all subject areas), finance and budgets, social policies, and also facilitating active community engagement and cohesion.
